IELTS BandUp (“BandUp”, “we”, “us”) is an online IELTS preparation platform operated by Dr. Masa El Masry, a certified IELTS trainer based in Lebanon. Our platform is accessible at ielts-band-up.com and via our Android mobile application.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use BandUp:

• • Account information: name, email address, and password when you register
• • Test results: your placement test scores, practice test submissions, and band score history
• • Usage data: videos watched, lessons completed, AI chat messages, and daily practice activity
• • Payment information: plan subscription records and payment confirmation status (we do not store card details — payments are processed via Whish Money)
• • Device information: device type, operating system, and push notification tokens for the mobile app

3. How We Use Your Information

• • To provide and personalise your learning experience
• • To track your progress and show you your band score history
• • To send you notifications about assigned tests, grades, and platform updates
• • To send automated email sequences to help you get the most from the platform
• • To allow Dr. Masa to review your writing and speaking submissions
• • To improve the platform based on usage patterns

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore) servers located in the United States. Firebase is compliant with major security standards including SOC 2 and ISO 27001. We use Firebase Authentication for secure login and Firestore security rules to ensure your data is only accessible to you and authorised administrators.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• • Anthropic Claude AI: powers the AI coaching assistant
• • Resend: email delivery service
• • YouTube: video content delivery
• • Expo (EAS): mobile app distribution

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at drmasa@ielts-band-up.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

7. Cookies

BandUp uses essential cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not share your data with advertisers.
